PHP4: Fully Supported

Idologic's servers run PHP 4.4.x by default. This stable and scalable programming language allows programmers to code almost anything imaginable with relative ease. PHP 4 was first released in 2000 and is supported by regular security updates. Many scripts that our customers depend on ranging from custom content management systems to popular blogging platforms like WordPress use PHP4 and run without a hiccup on Idologic servers.

PHP5: Fully Supported

In 2004, PHP 5 was released. The new version of the programming language offered significant performance enhancements, better support for MySQL databases, and support for object oriented programming. Using phpsuexec, Idologic is able to let customers run both PHP 4 and PHP 5 parallel to each other on the same server. Customers have full control over which directories or file extensions use PHP 4 or PHP 5. All the changes are done using a simple line of code in an easily editable .htaccess file. This solution is available by default to all reseller customers and can be setup free of charge for dedicated server customers. Idologic uses PHP 5.2.x.
